When The Truth Calls....

Hollie from Motherhood: The Truth is a great mom - all natcheral - she used cannabis during pregnancy and birth and she is NOT poisoning her pweshous snow flakes with evil vaccines, instead, she was looking for pox and whooping cough parties. Unfortunately, Hollie seems to suffer from really low self-esteem, because, faced with a little criticism, she called one random pro-vaccine minded Facebooker at her workplace (a law school, cough) and since nobody answered, Hollie left her threats on her target's voicemail (which I guess does answer the question what cannabis does to your IQ).

  1. Thanks for posting this.

In addition to being an anti-vaxxer, Hollie is ardently anti-circumcision.

The anti-Semitism of Hollie's previous comments (later deleted by her) were seriously disturbed.

  2. There is nothing wrong with opposing routine infant circumcision - I do, too ;)

  3. Yes Catherina but I think the objection is Holly's blatant anti-Semitism gussied up as anti-circ.

  4. If in fact "Hollie" opposes routine and/or ritual male circumcision is immaterial, because of the manner in which she acted out, by posting anti-Semitic rants and threatening anyone, with a message on the telephone.

    (She's also stooopid...to leave a recorded message).

I hope the person Hollie threatened, seeks legal redress in the form of a Person Protection Order.

  5. Catherina, I don't oppose routine infant circumcision, but I don't favor it either. To call parents who elect circumcision for religious reasons child abusers, and to post again and again their religious beliefs are barbarous, really got my atheist-goy back up.

    Here's my bit:

I posted a link to Motherhood:The Truth -- it was Politburo'ed in under 90 seconds.

  6. I think what Lilady says is spot on - it really doesn't matter what anyone thinks about circumcision, anti-semitic rants and personal threats are not on.

As for routine infant circumcision - I cannot begin to express how bizarre I find it, Liz. My respect and tolerance for cultural practises pretty much ends where those practises threaten the physical integrity of non-consenting children.

  7. I'm with Catherina. I'm not American, so RIC doesn't happen in my country. I find the whole thing bizarre and disturbing.

It's 2013, and the country with their finger on the big red button is the same country that surgically modifies neonate penises based on superstitious beliefs about masturbation.

This only happens in other theocracies, most notably in Islamic states. Even Israel has a declining circ rate, as people begin to reconsider whether brit milah is appropriate in the 21st century. Some families are choosing brit shalom at eight days, and leaving milah as a choice for their sons to make. There are too many currenj controversies surrounding milah, and religious Jews of all types (except charedim) in Israel and the rest of the world are starting to ask themselves serious questions.

The rest of the world looks on in bemusement at America; for its strange attitudes toward religion and sex. It seems few are immune.

    1. That is so well put! I also believe that even though she is an AVer, she is doing a WONDERFUL service by educating mothers about RIC. This is just the strangest practice and it's just amazing that Americans really don't have a clue. I believe what she is referring to as 'child abuse' is because this is a human rights violation being performed for profit on non-consenting adults. It is not abuse from the parents (if they are uninformed) but more child abuse from the doctors.

    2. Anon - SM hits the nail on the head - Hollie is an embarrassment.

  8. Wow. She sounds utterly unhinged.

  9. I don't know. I looked through a lot of posts and she actually seems to hate Americans WAY more than any other cultures. I'm going with my gut on this one and I think she's getting set up. I totally HATE AVers and their bullshit 'research' but I'm going to leave this one alone. She actually seems pretty well-rounded in my opinion. It seems like our time could be better spent... just sayin

  10. " I'm going with my gut on this one and I think she's getting set up."

Wow, you said the same thing over on another critique on Hollie's actions. It's kind of odd that one you focused on anti-ritualistic circumcision and claimed she seemed smart so she would never do anything dumb.

I smell a troll. I'll say it again Hollie is welcome to make a YT video with her own voice. If she doesn't sound like an inane uneducated valley girl, your hypothesis has support. Until that happens it's safe to say she's a dangerous unhinged delusional antisemitic nut.

I'm pretty sure IP addresses are logged on these blogs, so I suggest the bloggers "back trace" it. If it comes back as Illinois it'll raise an eyebrow. Okay!

    1. I don't think we want to make the same mistake as Hollie and threaten people with tracking them or publishing their addresses - reference to cities removed. Please don't post personal information here.

  11. The caller, Hollie, has confessed and apologized to the recipient. She was not set up - she admits the call.

  12. Having spoken to Hollie online I disagree that she seems well rounded (etc), she is your standard anti vaxer. Conspiracy theorist, paranoid, delusional. I have no doubt in my mind that she could have made such a call.
